How Do We Accept Something That Is Hard To Accept?

Remove your personal expectations on the matter. It’s when we had an expected outcome and it turns out different is where it can be hard to accept. Surrender expectations. We can’t change the outcome of everything so we accept that truth. If an experience occurs that is very stressful or creates prolonged fear, we try to see what has happened differently to change the feeling in us. One way is to approach the experience or event through problem solving, as sometimes working towards a solution can help tame the anxiety. Another option if it does not require action is to surrender the thoughts associated with it, in order to free ourselves from the pain attached to something. Always remember, that this too shall pass.
