How Do You Stop Needing And Wanting Validation From Other People?

Make an awakening realization that no one is capable of giving you the validation you seek long term enough to make it fulfilling, other than you. We may have this complex when we were younger someone told was not good enough or something. Realize that was not true as people deflect their insecurities onto others. Validation seeking often comes from deeper roots, such as fear of rejection and low self trust or worth. Strive to become more aware of these tendencies. This gives you power to pause and choose rather than reacting or acting on autopilot. Validate yourself first, before looking to others. Accept that everyone will not approve, and that is okay! This is the process of going from — I need everyone to like me to I just need to like myself. This is hard at first, but insanely freeing when it clicks.
